
The symptoms of abdominal bloating can be truly terrible. You blow up like a balloon, feel really sluggish and lacking in energy and generally don’t feel like socialising or feel half as confident as normal.
If you’re looking to relieve abdominal bloating, try these 3 quick tips:
- Drink lots of water. A good dose of fresh water will help to flush your system of the food and waste products that are clogging up your system.
- Do some gentle exercise. Lie flat on your back and bring your knees up to your chest slowly, one knee at a time. Hold the position for the count of 20 each time. Also try rocking side-to-side gently too. This will almost definitely relieve some trapped gas so you might want to visit the bathroom afterwards!
- Drink peppermint tea. Drinking peppermint tea (or taking peppermint oil capsules) is a marvellous way to relieve abdominal bloating. It relaxes the colon and helps relieve trapped gas. Give it a try!
